Yes! Safety is the top priority. If the weather conditions are not suitable for safe flight, the Turkish civil aviation closes the airspace for the day, and the flight is canceled. Before takeoff, our experienced pilots provide flight information and instructions. All our balloons and equipment for the flight are new, and they have been approved for flight by the authorities. Also, please remember that your insurance coverage starts from the moment you are picked up from the hotel!
Our flights commence with the first light of the morning, which is considered the safest time. We operate flights seven days a week throughout the year, scheduling them daily unless there are adverse weather conditions that could compromise flight safety. In cases where flight safety is at risk, flights are canceled by Turkish civil aviation.
The balloon will fly from ground level to a three thousand feet above ground level, depending on wind direction and speed. The max. altitude is 6000 feet and its is limited by Turkish Civil Aviation for the balloons in Cappadocia.
To fly in a balloon, you must be at least 6 years old. Therefore, unfortunately, we do not accept guests under the age of 6. There is no upper age limit.
There are two morning flights allowed by Turkish Civil Aviation in Cappadocia. The first flight just takes off before sunrise and the second flight takes of after sunrise.
